What is included in our chimney inspections?

A visual inspection which includes a written report, recommendations for repair including photos of all defects found.

Ultrasonic Thickness Tests carried out periodically throughout the stack. However, should you require a more in-depth view of the condition of your stack, we can carry out NDT’s at 4 cardinal points.

Lightning Protection Test and Inspection in line with BSEN62305 Standards.

Industrial Steel Stacks

For over 3 decades, Crown Services’ most seasoned Steeplejacks have been carrying out steel stack inspections, maintenance, and repairs. We follow ATLAS’ guidelines and always strive to offer the most up to date information on stack inspections. We recommend that Steel stacks are inspected annually to maintain good practice and the condition of the stack.
Should the client require a more in-depth inspection of their chimney, we can offer the inspection of all 4no cardinal points. Another service that we offer is an internal inspection which our confined space operatives carry out. Once an inspection is carried out we will then submit a thorough inspection report which details the chimney specification, recommendations and all photos taken. Should there be any requirement for recommendations, these will also be outlined within the report.

Grade Listed Brick Chimneys

Similar to Industrial steel chimneys, we carry out the annual inspections, maintenance and repairs of Brick Chimneys. Oftentimes a brick chimney is listed and require the involvement and guidance from a heritage and/or conservation professional to ensure that inspections and remedial repairs are carried out to their satisfaction.

With over 30 years’ experience in Silo inspection, maintenance, repairs and cleaning we can provide annual lightning protection tests and inspections of your silos.

A detailed inspection report is produced which includes all photographic evidence along with repair costs for us to carry out the work ensuring that your silo is compliant with current Health and Safety Regulations.
