External building condition surveys, including elevation and façade surveys, can be completed utilising rope access techniques or MEWPs or a combination of both. We inspect the property beforehand to determine the best access method and agree this with the client prior to commencing, meaning there is minimal disruption to the property and its occupants. Every aspect of the building fabric is thoroughly inspected, including masonry, rainwater goods and windows. However, the list isn’t restricted to those mentioned here and can be altered to suit the needs and concerns of the client.
Once the condition survey has been completed, you will receive a thorough report which will include all findings, photos, recommendations and elevation drawings to depict where each defect has been identified. On larger projects we understand that not all works can proceed all at once. Budget and time constraints often dictate what works can be carried out and when. With this in mind, we can provide a ‘traffic light’ recommendation within the report to advise what works are required as a priority.
Working on a large Grade Listed Building project can be challenging;
but Crown’s professionalism, knowledge and experience has proved invaluable when working with Conservation and the Council as Principal Contractor.”
