Structural Investigations

Crown Services can investigate a number of structural issues such as cracking in brickwork or stonework, and provide detailed reports about any findings. We work with Structural Engineers in order to determine the best course of action, and to ensure that our client has all the information available to them before making a decision.

We provide pull tests and re-bar testing to determine the strength of structural metal, and ultrasonic thickness tests to investigate for any erosion, corrosion or damage. All of our tests can be carried out by our operatives using specialist access methods, so that even hard to reach areas can be assessed.

Re-bar Testing

Here at Crown Services, we offer Re-bar testing as part of our long list of services to our clients. We carry out re-bar scan surveys which allows us to analyse defected concrete and map out the rebar in order to potentially support the client to determine where any services may be located or to aid a structural engineer in mapping out the steelwork.

Core Drilling

Core Drilling

Using specialist Operatives who have vast experience carrying out Core Drilling projects, Crown utilises the best diamond drilling tools that allows us to cut through tough reinforced concrete/brick with accuracy. This method allows us to analyse specific roofing layers or to determine concrete defects should clients have persistent issues.

Ultrasonic Thickness Testing

Ultrasonic Thickness Testing

Ultrasonic Thickness Testing is used to measure the thickness of industrial metal chimneys and flagpoles to measure any corrosion, erosion or damage to the structure. It is an non-destructive method of testing metal, meaning no drilling is needed, or any other intrusive method that could compromise the structural integrity of the item.
